Families staying at Puente Romano Beach Resort this year have access to private tutoring for an educational boost in the Andalusian village-style resort on the beachfront between Marbella and Puerto Banús. The new offering sees bespoke lessons offering learning opportunities and support from an expert team of International School teachers and tutors.
Students can catch up on lost learning and receive comprehensive education from teachers who are trained in UK national curriculums and syllabuses from around the world. Those who may have struggled with remote learning over lockdown can receive one-on-one personal tutoring, providing enormous benefits for children across primary and secondary school age, and give parents peace of mind.
Teachers will be provided on-demand for families, as and when required, with lessons taking place throughout the property; in-suite, in the Kids Club, by the beach or wherever is most convenient and inspiring for each student. Classes can also be extended post-holiday with zoom tutoring available for those who wish to continue their lessons at home or who may have concerns about going straight back into the classroom.
Tutors will be able to help in subjects in the current English National Curriculums as well as specialists for the US. Tutors are also available for children studying for the International Baccalaureate Diploma. All lessons and tutoring are overseen by Guy Leleu, former Deputy Headmaster at a large international school in Marbella and director of the Puente Romano Beach Resort Kids Club.
Guy comments, “An international universal over this unprecedented time has been families trying to take on their children’s education needs and it was hard for everyone – parents and children. As a family focussed hotel, we recognise that the educational needs of our guests’ children are hugely important, and the tutoring we can offer can take some stress away from parents as well as help build a child’s self-confidence and engagement with their learning during an incredibly unsettling time. We have developed a high-quality programme which ensures we match the right teacher for each child based on personal study needs.”
Tutoring will be available throughout this year and 2021, providing help to parents and students who may be struggling with the academic workload. Providing reassurance for families, particularly those parents who are able to work remotely and may choose to extend a stay with us.
Costs vary dependent on the education level, type and length of lessons. All teachers have the Spanish Certificado de Antecedentes Penales (the Spanish equivalent of the DBS check) and will be able to adhere to social distancing standards when tutoring.
